WANDERLUST WEDNESDAY: HVAR, CROATIA

Posted on 25 June 2017

Ishine365 co-founder, Christina Pino, had the chance to explore the incredible Croatian island of Hvar. From fields of lavender, ancient olive trees and vineyards, and beautiful beaches with crystal clear blue waters, this island is filled with culture and history and we’re super excited to share Christina’s photos from her magical vacation.

Check out what Christina had to say:

I had the privilege to visit Croatia in June and automatically fell in love with the whole country and especially Hvar and its surrounding islands (so much that I extended my trip 9 days). Here are a few of my favorite places to visit while I was there! If you haven’t visited Croatia, I would definitely recommend adding it to your Bucket List. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

WHERE TO STAY
I recommend you book an Airbnb. There are so many amazing apartments, but make sure to book in advance! I would recommend staying in the city center.

WHEN TO GO
Since Hvar is a beach town, season begins at the beginning of June until end of August.

WHAT TO DO
Definitely recommend taking a tour (here) and go island jumping for the day.
Stiniva has one of the most magical coves I’ve ever seen. They have a super small local tavern on the beach which serves delicious Croatian drinks and typical appetizers.
Take the tour into the Blue Cove which has the most stunning colored water.
Palmižana is a little island which you can take a water taxi to. There is a beach club (here) which is the perfect place to spend the day and hang out. Great food, drinks and the waiters are HOT

BEST PLACE TO WATCH THE SUNSET
Hula Hula is a great beach club with an unreal sunset. The music is bumping, the drinks are flowing and nothing but good vibes.

BEST NIGHTCLUB
Carpe Diem is the place to be once the sun goes down. Carpe Diem is located at the end of the port in Hvar and also has its night club on its own private island which a water taxi can take you to and from every 15 minutes.

MUST SEE SIDE NOTE
Krka Krka National Park is about an hour and a half driving from Split, one of Croatia‘s main ports. This place is GORGEOUS. Enjoy a beautiful day exploring waterfalls, nature and wildlife.
